Originally from Guyana 🇬🇾, I’m Lilly, entrepreneur, educator, mentor, proud mother, and the visionary behind Legacy Roots & Crown. Locs by Lilly was the foundation for everything Legacy Roots & Crown has become today. What started as a passion for hairstyling has evolved into a purpose driven brand centered around legacy, growth, empowerment, and intentional living. Beyond being a Loctician, I’m passionate about helping entrepreneurs and like minded individuals elevate their businesses, walk confidently in their purpose, and create lasting success. I proudly continue my service in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer after re enlisting, a journey that has strengthened my discipline, leadership, and commitment to serving others. Before fully stepping into entrepreneurship, I worked with at risk youth, encouraging them to embrace their gifts and believe in their potential. Eventually, I realized I needed to live in alignment with the same advice I was giving others. That realization pushed me to fully walk in my purpose and become an example of what it means to truly live in your gift. The name Legacy Roots & Crown holds deep meaning for me because LRC are also my son’s initials. This rebrand represents growth, motherhood, elevation, and stepping boldly into a new season with intention. I’ve created a safe, intentional, and elevated space where beauty, purpose, and legacy come together. As Steve Harvey once said, “Your gift is the one thing that you’re good at, that requires the least amount of effort.” My gift is creating spaces where people feel confident, seen, and celebrated one loc, one smile, and one connection at a time.
